FAQ
-
Do I need a prescription or referral for physical therapy from my doctor? No. As of 2018, Illinois passed direct access legislation into law which allows patients to go directly to a licensed physical therapist without needing a referral or prescription from their medical doctor.
-
Where do sessions happen? As a mobile physical therapist, Dr Hoff comes right to you to conduct your sessions in the comfort of your own home. You do not need any special equipment - Dr Hoff will provide everything necessary for your session.
-
Do you accept insurance?Dr Hoff does not currently accept insurance. However, Dr Hoff can provide a "superbill" (an itemized invoice of your physical therapy session) that you can use when requesting reimbursement directly from your insurance provider. Oftentimes, this ends up being comparable or less expensive than traditional PT clinics, when considering the deductible, coinsurance (percentage the patient is responsible for), as well as number of visits required in a busier clinic. With Dr Hoff, you will spend your entire session, every time, one-on-one with your Doctor of Physical Therapy - no aides or techs or downtime while your physical therapist works with other patients.
-
How soon will I get better?Every patient is different, so there is no set amount of time that every patient needs. With an MDT certified physical therapist, a regular part of your sessions will include specific tests to measure progress. Dr Hoff will work with you to make sure that every session is productive and helping you toward your goals.
